# Ledger Hardware Wallet

&#x20;**You can connect your Ledger (Nano S and X, S Plus)** **to the following chains:**\
\
\- THORChain\
\- Bitcoin\
\- Litecoin\
\- Bitcoin Cash\
\- Dogecoin\
\- ETH\
\- XRP\
\- TRON\
\- Dash\
\- Avalanche\
\- Arbitrum\
\- Base

**Step 1**: Click **“Connect Wallet”**

*Step 2:* Make sure Bitcoin app is open on Ledger.\
\&#xNAN;*(For this example we are connecting BTC and you may have to install it on Ledger Live if you haven’t already)*

Confirm “Bitcoin” app by pressing both buttons on top.

It will then read “Bitcoin is ready”

Step 3: Click “Bitcoin” and then “Connect Wallet”

Make sure you are connecting the proper derivation path and index number. Failing to do so will result in you connecting to a different address and unable to see your balance.
